This past holiday season, SN Aboitiz Power Group (SNAP Group) spread some cheer in its host communities through its annual gift-giving drive in Benguet, Isabela, and Ifugao.
At Ambuklao Elementary School in Bokod, Benguet, SNAP Group’s President and CEO Joseph Yu, together with other executives and volunteers, handed out umbrellas to 122 grade school students on December 6. Around 1,100 students from General Aguinaldo Elementary School in Ramon, Isabela and Sto. Domingo Elementary School in Alfonso Lista, Ifugao received their share on December 18 and 19, respectively, during a visit led by AVP and Plant Manager Willy Ferrer.
A few days before, on December 15, 438 children of Ambatali Elementary School in Ramon received slippers as part of the “Tsinelas Project,” an annual outreach program initiated by SNAP-Magat Sr. Operations Manager Ed Bundalian. The “Tsinelas Project,” now on its fourth year, is funded by employee donations.
SNAP Group is a joint venture between SN Power and AboitizPower. It owns and operates the 380-MW Magat Hydroelectric Power Plant on the border of Isabela and Ifugao, as well as the 105-MW Ambuklao Hydroelectric Power Plant and the 140-MW Binga Hydroelectric Power Plant in the province of Benguet.
