SN Aboitiz Power Magat (SNAP-Magat) marked its 17th anniversary on April 26 by looking back on its accomplishments and embracing the call for a sustainable society for future generations. This was followed by World Safety Day activities which included safety knowledge quizzes, safety and emergency preparedness relays, and a first aid competition.

The celebration culminated in a simple anniversary program for employees on the same day. This year’s theme “SNAP-Magat at 17: Celebrating Resilience, Growth, and a Bright, Sustainable Future,” reflects how the company has evolved and adapted to changing times. “Today, we celebrate SNAP-Magat’s resilience and growth. We hope to continue growing the business, and I look forward to many more years of energizing a sustainable future for our communities and the country,” said SNAP-Magat’s President and Chief Executive Officer Joseph Yu.

In the past 17 years, the company has supported 632 projects valued at approximately PhP353 million through its CSR and community investment programs. In 2022, SNAP-Magat conducted an avifauna assessment along the Upper Magat watershed as part of its conservation efforts. To date, the company has planted 231,320 seedlings covering 210 hectares. These efforts demonstrate its commitment towards protecting the environment and creating more sustainable communities.
